Surgical Slimmers aired  01/19/05  and elaborated the follies of weight loss by surgery.  Four years later  on January 20th, 2004 Alda did a follow-up titled "Losing it" outlining several ways to loose weight and how effective they were and weren't,  and why they didn't work.  In part 3 of the series an outstanding explanation of the problem and our lack of understanding of it is given by Dr. Jeffrey M. Friedman, M.D., Ph.D..  In his explanation of why different lives have individual challenges he touches on why some can't take it off and other's can't keep it off.  We feel our product addresses these very issues and that's why it is so effective and consistant.

  Dr. Friedman’s lab identified leptin, a hormonal signal made by the body’s fat cells that regulates food intake and energy expenditure and has powerful effects on reproduction, metabolism, other endocrine systems and even immune function. Current research in the Friedman lab focuses on the genes and neural circuits that control food intake and body weight, and leptin’s mechanism of action and its relevance to the development of obesity.
